About The Book

Particles
Of Light

Folks in West Texas tend to put high value on family, religion, guns, petroleum and good home cooking. They’re often too damn comfortable with racism, violence, kickin’ dogs and doing as they’re told by the powers that be.

It’s a place where teaching a pooch to talk can get a guy killed. And his little dog, too.

If I were pulling the cosmic strings on this story I’m fixin’ to lay out, I doubt if I would’ve picked this little old town. If I was in charge of diving into the nature of things and challenging humans’ precious little idea that you’re the most important thing in the universe, I think I would have had enough sense to do it somewhere more important. London. Jerusalem. Fort Worth.

About The Author

David Emerson Trim

Not long ago, David and his wife Christine were rescued by a 6-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog named Bowzer. He was the fourth Berner dog to come in and out of their family over 25 years.

This fella was a brilliant and creative boy. A great communicator. Not coincidentally, David soon decided to write a book about a dog that learns to speak English through the help of an exceptional young man on the autism spectrum. Together, they challenge lots of our assumptions about human superiority through a dog’s point of view. Bowzer was by David’s side over three years inspiring every corner of this saga set in a fictional version of David’s home town. Now, Bowzer has moved on to some other mission somewhere out there in the universe.
